Indisputable style queen and icon in her own right. The epitome of one who walks to the beat of her own drum and perhaps even of Britannia herself. An unprecedented gem of our time, a charm and grace uniquely defined as her own. Worshipped and praised by my many, an inspiration to some. Kate Moss has always been an icon in my eyes. Her anomalous persona, that British rock chick ease and a champion for petite's worldwide.

All hail Ms Moss.

I mentioned a few weeks ago on a coveting post (refresh your memory here) that I adored the sartorial amalgamation of Western accents with bohemian style. And I do revere such things. I also quite enjoy Western elements incorporated with pieces that are slightly more edgy than most. Like in this editorial which is a perfect example of how ravishing such a combination truly is.

Biker meets a little country.

Think leather bottoms and token, novelty belt buckles. Biker jackets paired with simple, slick tops and those infamous cowboy boots coupled with a fierce, bat out of hell attitude.

My kind of effortlessly cool.

Unlike country music, which I will never, ever find as appealing as the fashions.

Seemingly a large percent of the humans I know have impelled themselves over to the European continent in a bid to escape monotonous weather; be it arctic or humidity. While I find myself annoyingly cornered with responsibilities, I can't help but lose myself to daydreams of cerulean waters and iconic, Pinterest-worthy landscapes every time a ray of light catches my eye. That occasional spray of dappled light or diaphanous lace sends my mind catapulting to the Mediterranean. To chalky beaches adorned with muted umbrellas and worn lumber. Colourful Sangrias and tantalising Bellini's. Cobblestones and bougainvillea laden thoroughfares. Market fresh produce and the romantic promise that comes from a vivacious bunch of florals. Andalusia and the South of France.

Yes, Europe in the summertime is eternally enchanting.

Merry Christmas!

Wishing all my amazing readers and supports all the very best over the Holiday season. May it be filled with much love, peace and abundance. May your giggles turn into roaring laughter and your belly swell with sumptuous homemade food. Please keep in mind that this time of year may not be so jolly for all, so be sure you reach out to loved ones, both far and near and spread some love. Kindness always goes such a long way. And you never really understand how much a humble smile can do to someone who is feeling those noxious blues.

In the spirit of things, I'll be taking the next week or so off to spend some quality time with the fambam and friends. Though you'll still find me active over on Snapchat - soniademacedo (snapcode at bottom of page) and Instagram - @soniademacedo. So be sure to follow if you're having Coco withdrawals.

Until 2016 lovers,

Scenes such as these invoke pictures of the early nineties. Specifically, memories from a five year old, not quite comprehending the world around her; what is viewed in her reality coalescing with what is seen on the screen of her parents 50 inch NEC. Images transmuting into stories during a time of glorified melancholy, of bleak and dark disconsolateness. An over active imagination churning chronicles of soirĂ©es caroused in dark velvet lined rooms, teaming with beautiful people clasping lit cigarettes, laying spiritless on the carpeted floor. Their shadows the only clear signs of movement as they dance eerily in the shadows cast by dimly lit fluorescents. A juxtaposition of sleek blonde bobs with messy, unwashed hair and laughter intermingling with earnestness. Ebony duster trench coats mirror the mood, draped haphazardly over a Memphis-Milano by the door. Their owners crowd around a besmirched Noguchi. To one side, a minuscule mountain of crisp white powder disintegrates into trained fine lines with the precise movements from the smooth hand of a business man clutching an American Express. The other holds empty red wine glasses and overturned bottles of Coors which create an unintentional fortress against the door.

There's something enticing about a nomadic life. The liberation from conformity and the celebration of a carefree spirit. Much like the halcyon days of the seventies. Freedom, peace and love baby. Woodstock too. It's no surprise that this era in time is my favorite. Not for the fashions but for what a good few souls cherished and believed. I'm overly smitten with this editorial. I feel like were I born in the 1950's and had my twenties to revel in the magic that was that era it would transpire exactly as depicted above. Decadently luxe faux furs, leather, legs and androgynous styles booties. Living out the back of an estate car, switching it up between a motorcycle and guitar. Possible nudity too.

Romanticism at its finest.
