So another year down and another one is just starting to begin and what better way to ring in the New Year than with a whimsically snazzy pair of glittery shades! I was in search for said piece but couldn't find anything that I really loved, the closest I came across was a pair of plastic ones that I thought I could jazz up, then a friend suggested why not just make it yourself and BOOM! Challenge excepted!

Something I am endeavoring to rectify on this blog is the lack of personal posts. There is a ton I would love to share with you all however trying to find help from friends whose schedule permits some free time and whom, most importantly can take photos is horribly rare these days and of course my current lack of photographic equipment ("lost" on my last adventure) does not help this situation. I know what you're thinking excuses right? Well once you hit your mid twenties and 'real' life sets in maybe you'll understand! That said I do carry my phone around like it's the air I breathe so you can always keep up to date on my personal cray-cray adventures and musings through my Instagram!

Whilst facing a long weekend with only bad reality TV, my dog Chanel and some nasty a** virus that decided to take residence, I found this awesome DIY over at Frankie Magazine! Yarn fonts is a little bit chic and a whole lot of hipster cool, the idea originally stemmed from a kiddie DIY over on Bloesem Kids, but nevertheless, CHALLENGE EXCEPTED! Now feel free to use whatever word comes to mind like if you'd rather use your name etc. I used the word 'love' so I you want to do the same I promise I won't mind!
Also, if you didn't notice this is my first ever DIY post, so I hope I've provided enough deets for y'all! Now to start...

Inspired by lazy carefree summer days and cheeky but always lovable Lolita. I feel like taking an impromptu break right about now and if the sun would remain shining down on gloomy Melbourne today would not refrain from basking under its golden goodness and try to complete the remaining chapters of Fifty Shades Darker. But alas I'll crank the heat up on the thermostat and enjoy some heavenly ice cream instead.

This editorial for some unfathomable reason has evaded me all this time, it's such a delightfully relevant and timeless work of photographic and styling art. This bohemian editorial has fast become my muse, inspiring and stirring my inner gypsy soul; it's peaceful innocence spread with a sultry mother nature, bright pops of tasseled hues and a time long passed where dancing under the sun took precedence over anything else.

In a sartorial decadent array of Jean Paul Gaultier, La Perla, Balmain, Chanel, Versace and Dolce & Gabbana while gallivanting around a set and playing the role of a movie star this has me pining for the long gone days of playing dress ups whilst dreaming of becoming a Hollywood starlet and rock star!
