I was perusing the pages of Inside Out magazine recently when a singular line caught my immediate attention.
August is a month for getting things done.
It really got me thinking. All those plans and ideas that I'd spent many a late night tirelessly penning have been cast aside, abandoned and inert while awaiting my summons. And I've been lingering for what exactly? Now is the time to seize the moment. Because the thing is if you don't do it now then when will you? So with that apologies in advance as I attempt to keep to my word and begin the process of making some huge changes around here. And I'm not just hinting at layouts and design, (yes, yawn again) I'm talking about content and expanding its reaches. Please be patient with me. I'll continue to entertain you faithfully and endeavour to visit your blogs sporadically. Much like I have been these past few weeks anyway. I'll still be around on other social media sites like Instagram: @soniademacedo and Facebook so follow along (if you haven't already) to keep up with my madness. I'm curious though, after reading this yourself are there any plans you made that are still idle or forgotten? Are you going to make August your b*** and get s*** done?

DeleteYet another gorgeous post full of interesting thoughts my dear! It's so true that we can get caught up in a fog of inactivity during the summer months. We start off in June or July with all of these ambitious plans and goals (I'm going to get this license or finish that book, etc) but after June and July have flown by, we look at August realizing that we have gotten nearly nothing of consequence done! I'm always quite disappointed with myself when that happens, it seems that the adage that loosely says that only busy people get things done is quite true-- you need to be in the right mindset to make time for the things that you need to get done! I will justify my lack of goal-achieving with the fact that I'm presently traveling in Asia. Right now I just finished printing out my tickets for my trip to Hong Kong tomorrow! At least I can check that city off my travel list!

Blah it's so true, those half yearly blues of realising we'd accomplished nothing we originally set out to do. And I suppose we need to be reminded of this from time to time. Haha that's a beautiful collage, but I can't really agree with the words unfortunately, even though I'd really like to... In Italy August is a month of endless torture when stores and offices close, people stop answering their phones and emails and nothing, I repeat NOTHING ever gets done... If you mention anything business-related to anyone, all you get is "Let's talk about it in September". Drives me crazy...

Is August a month for getting things done? Hmm... I'd better find more time to get all these clutter in my mind done. I'm really thrilled at what you have in store for us.
