There are certain words that when seen or heard trigger a peculiar function in my brain, and that is conjuring up certain images or depictions. I'm not talking about the charming and blissful kind, nor do I speak of nostalgia. I'm talking about vividly hearing Carson Kressley mouth "cashmere", at the mere sight of it. Or the name Jeanne, which my mind immediately begins to play Daydream believer by The Monkees.
While this song has little to do with the seventies, I can't help but envision rambunctious scenes at The Speakeasy in London or Farrah Fawcett's infamous hair. And maybe it's the boxy fit of that glorious Saint Laurent cardigan but fellow settings at The Viper Room also transpire in my imagination.

That is a beautiful cardigan! :) I know what you mean about certain words having memories too! One of my fondest memories is of being in school with my friend and us practicing spelling - she gave me a tip for how to spell a word and now every time we read or write it we think of that. Even now, over a decade later and on opposite sides of the world we still do it!

When I see marshmallows I think of a specific person, when I see rice I hear my mother say the word cous-cous.
