I was recently introduced to Vinomofo, an Australian wine loving company who curate and sell only the very best wines and pass on exclusive deals online to their members. These guys are a breath of fresh air. They're down to earth, animated and seem like the kind of crew you'd want in your squad. The 'Fo as they like to call themselves, work directly with the best producers across the globe to bring their members exclusive deals. They purchase a limited amount of stock then offer their selections to members at the very best price, guaranteed. Sales generally go for around three days, unless sold prior. And because they stock tried and taste-tested wines, you know you're not only scoring a great deal but wine that is going to please.
The 'Fo also co-produce their own branded selection of wines which are consistently available for sale. These cool cats sent me two bottles from their range; both have been extensively tested by yours truly. I really enjoyed the "Bisou Bisou" Sparkling. I'm not generally a fan of Sparkling wine but I found this one was more soft and pleasant and not overly dry like I find most Sparklings to be. The "Fanny Limehead" Riesling was my favorite out of the two. After noting their suggestion for accompanying this wine with something spicy, I decided to pair it with a Friday night curry, butter chicken to be exact because something mild is about as much spice as I can handle. The two were delightful and I'm going to start looking into properly pairing wines with food from now on. I also adored the packaging of the bottles, they're a true reflection and representation of the company itself; lively, relevant and uber stylish and all without an air of pretentiousness.
