Jennifer Pugh photographed by Kimberley Gordon for Fete Champetre Summer 2014 lookbook.
If you're from Melbourne Town then you know we are in for a b*** of a week. 40+ degree days (that's 105+ in Fahrenheit) with no signs of relief in store until the weekend. How I envy those friends of mine who've managed to bid farewell to this country over the weekend. They'll be sure to rub in those snow laden European mountain tops on their Instagram feeds while I amuse them with the crispy golden demise of various vegetation who'll brunt the full force of those horrendous rays. I think that's why I found such solace and humor in this lookbook; easily relating to it. When it gets hot over here I tend to mimic the actions above. I can't articulate and loose all sense of movement, limbs defy me and turn to jelly and at times I find myself cursing my clothing, though thankfully you won't find me stripping down to my skivvies or birthday suit.
xoxo

Oh god, I would be absolutely dying! Stay inside & eat lots of ice poles & icecream! ;) This editorial is gorgeous though, it reminds me a little of the movie Melancholia for some reason, think it's that shot on the grass that looks a little like some of the posters for it.
ReplyDeleteWonderful editorial. :)

Holy cannoli! That's ridiculously hot! I can understand why you would want to run around in just a piece of tulle lol.

The tulle skirt is really Fantastic!
DeleteHave a good evening
Hahaha! xx
DeleteI've just seen a tweet of some egg getting fried on a tennis court today.:D I feel for you, babe, I was in Death Valley this summer and it was hot. Hot hot. 54 degrees hot.:) I'm sure people wanna take their clothes off like the damsel in these (gorgeous!!) shots. But I'd definitely feed the damsel. It wouldn't hurt her if she ate one of your mug brownies. Or thirty-seven.
ReplyDeleteBahahahaha! xx
DeleteI have been, it's been my only source of relief *sad face* I'm sorry to hear that Marlen but glad to see/read that you're doing well regardless. xx
ReplyDeletePerfect fotoshoot!

Oh geez 105 degrees F?!?!?! That's insane!!!! I didn't realize it got so hot in Australia. I'm so chilly in Seattle, that I wouldn't mind some of that heat! Haha, my limbs would probably turn to jelly as well and I would hide out in an air conditioned building or pool all day! Or... run around town in just tulle like the women in the pictures! Nice and breezy : )
