NOW PLAYING: High - Peking Duk
Hey y'all! I am back, well sort of. Creative block is still pretty much in full swing still and I also haven't been feeling the very best, so I am going to try my hardest to push through all this indecorousness and keep this blog updated, so please bear with me for now. I also must confess, I've been such an deplorable blog buddy to you guys and have been severely out of the loop at that, but I do have every intention of rectifying this immediately and plan on catching up with all your sartorial and travel adventures of late. So while I've been frustratingly down and out these past few weeks I've had a little time to contemplate some possible changes and in particular the blog layout itself. Yes you read right and I know, again. But what do you guys honestly think? Yay or nay? I guess you could lay blame on the lovely grey skies, wet concrete and thick, snugly sweaters I am indulging in right now as the weather starts to cool right down. Then again, maybe it's from being confined and cooped up at home trying to recuperate that is making me slightly ga-ga.
I don't know, I am just feeling like a change of some sort is in order, perhaps to motivate me or something. You know, to get me out of this God awful funk.

Love it!:)

I know it sound boring, but I truly love every layout change you make here on your blog. It's always so chic, light and clear. And can we take a moment and appreciate these beautiful collages?! Look at those chicks. "Nobody is going to come and save us" #amen!!

I love this quote!
ReplyDeleteWell... it always takes me a long time to find the comment button? :P Hehe nah, I really like your layout!!
ReplyDeleteAs for creative block, that sucks. I was there for such a long time and I believe you were responsible for giving me SO many words of advice! Basically, just hang in there! Keep trying and something will help you to break out of it. I know that seems obvious but I found it's the only thing that got me there earlier this year. Also! Trying new things was a big part of it. I just had to keep forcing myself to get out there, and to catch up with creatively minded friends in the hopes that some of their magic would rub off on me ;)
I really hope you're feeling better soon! <3

I hope you get better Sonia!!!
ReplyDeleteI love this post!!!
Happy sunday darling!!!
I like your blog how it is now, it actually doesn't look like it's a blogger blog, you can tell that only by comments and I love that. But whatever you do, I'm sure I'll love it too since you apparently have an eye for this. Then again if you need a change, a blog is a great place to start. Or you can cut your hair.:) And I love the quote in the picture. Nobody is going to come and give you anything. You've got to fight for it. That's true. So true. I hope the blues and the block go away soon, my dear internet friend...

Sorry to hear you're still in a bit of a rut inspiration wise! :( I love that quote, pretty perfect for how you're feeling I guess too? I'm sure you'll find your way out of it soon enough & get your mojo back :) I have to say I really love the layout, but if you're feeling blah a change is always good to shake things up & I think if it'll help you feel fresh & inspired again then go for it!
ReplyDeleteSorry you're having a blogger's block. I was feeling a bit in a rut too earlier today. You know, one of those times where you just keep doubting yourself and totally unsure if the outfit you're putting toghether for a shoot is "blogging worthy". Sometimes when I'm getting a block, I love to troll lookbook.nut and try to find styles that are waaay different than mine for inspiration. It always get's me out of a funk when I'm feeling my style's gotten boring.

Good to see you posting again! We have sure been missing your post :) I have been feeling kinda blah too with blogging and coming out with new outfit ideas. I hope this is only a temporary block for me. I do enjoy reading comments from readers and getting inspirations :)
ReplyDeleteSorry for your blogger's block! I think this happens to all of us from time to time. Cheer up! You have a great blog. The blogger's job is not always appreciated, but it's hard work.

Sonia! Welcome back dear! Im so sorry you havent' been well, hope you get better soon. Also sorry for the lack of inspiration, it will come back soon, just take your time and make everything easy. I already love your blog as it looks now, so your layout for me is nice, easy to navigate and clear. Love the quote you shared in the pic, so true! Hugs and take care xo
ReplyDeleteHi Sonia! So sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well and you should definitely take a break whenever you need. I hope the gloomy days start getting better and I really like your blog layout. It's very clean and easy to navigate. Maybe even adding more on the side bar too so people can see super easy to follow. :) Love the quote too and the collage.

Ugh, writers block is the worst! For me, it helps to read blogs that I admire, go through a few of my old posts that were popular, and read poetry! Hope you're back into the swing of things in no time! :D

Boo. Funks and ruts can go screw themselves. I like your layout (so clean!) but you do what you want. It's yours. Maybe a change is what's needed to kick the inspiration block out.
ReplyDeletehey lovely - everyone needs a break every now and then but it doesn't mean you need a blog overhaul! i know how you feel though, i normally feed myself these kind of tasks when i'm feeling uninspired, but some times a just change of scene (excuse for a weekend break!?) can make a world of difference. hope you get your groove back soonnnn xx

Oh Sonia. I hate that word. Funk. I find myself in that state of mind all too often. But I strongly believe....that there is a reason for that funk. And something beautiful, creative, and inspiring will come out of that darn funk. Trust me on this one;). I love your layout, but do whatever you need to do to get those juices flowing. And just read that awesome quote when you need a little pick me up!
ReplyDeleteLove it!!
