ON THE ROAD AGAIN

I personally love long car rides.

The majority of us long for far away lands unreachable on foot and separated by deep blue seas and shamefully whilst yearning for such places we forget to take notice of what is in our own backyards. I am guilty of this. Sure, I've seen Sydney and obviously my hometown Melbourne but I've barely ventured out into rural areas. So I decided to head out towards the Gippsland coast for the Australia Day long weekend and get lost amongst the trees and glistening beaches. Though the magic for me came on the long and winding ride home when the sheer otherworldly beauty captured my mind and brought to its attention the natural beauty I was so blessed to be driving through. Becoming utterly immersed in a countryside which nostalgically took me back to all my childhood vacations to Western Europe. A landscape of golden infinite rolling hills and spotted with eucalyptus gums was utterly enchanting and best of all easily reachable for all those times when those wanderlust pangs kick in I will surely remember what is right in front me.
