If you didn't put two and two together on what Sarah Burton's inspiration source was let me spell it out for you; bees! Yes those icky, annoying and petrifying little flying creatures that invade my yard during the summertime. Despite my obvious dislike and fear of said insect this collection has stolen my heart with it's creativity in it's obvious and not so obnoxious bee-spiration, from golden hues, honeycomb sheers and structural stingers, this is a collection of true whimsical beauty.
I also want to say another quick thank you to all you beautiful people for notifying me of the recent hacking on my blog - this seems to be a problem going around right now in the blogsphere - and thankfully it has been fixed!

Amazing and quite theatrical---the middle dress at the bottom reminded me of Alice in Wonderland too! I wonder how many of these pieces we will see on the Duchess of Cambridge lol? I love the tops in pix #7 and #9! Hacking? Oh dear......

I dearly loved Alexander McQueen's work and I was devastated when he died. It took me time to get used to Sarah Burton's designs, but I think that she's doing great! The hats and shoes are amazing! Indeed, the bee's inspired textures are beautiful.
