Barcelos Portugal, a quiet and charming town famous for an iconic and decorative cockerel. One in which its originals and tale plays out quite the novella. This wasn't the first stop during my time in Portugal but for me it was the most memorable. It was a day of great laughter and much excitement.
We came, we conquered and we saw a surprising amount of oversized cockerels. And one bazaar breastfeeding horned demon thing.
Unless your Australian or English, looking at these photos and all those weirdly resplendent chickens you're immediatly going to associate them with Nandos and you'd be right to do so. This is the town that inspires it's very emblem slash logo slash mascot.
